    Meet "Rev. LJ"

Rev. Lance “LJ” Watson Jr. is a pastor, mentor, and builder of people-centered systems designed to strengthen communities from the inside out. He serves in ministry leadership at The Saint Paul’s Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, where his work focuses on developing leaders, shaping culture, and creating clear pathways for discipleship and service.
He founded Envolved with a simple conviction: people grow best in environments where purpose is clear, relationships are strong, and practical skills are accessible. His work sits at the intersection of faith, leadership development, and social enterprise. He helps individuals and organizations move from intention to structure, and from vision to execution.
His leadership approach is shaped by years of hands-on experience with young adults, ministry teams, and cross-functional leaders. He designs systems that reduce confusion, strengthen accountability, and support long-term growth. He believes clarity is a form of care, and his work reflects that belief in both church and community settings.
He founded Envolved to help people move from vision to structure. His work blends faith, leadership development, and social enterprise to support real-world impact in communities. Through Envolved, his focus includes:
    Leader Development
    • Equipping emerging leaders with practical skills and strong character.
    Community Formation
    • Building environments where relationships and mentorship drive growth.
    Social Enterprise
    • Connecting leadership with efforts that address food access, workforce development, and community health.
He's driven to help individuals and organizations gain clarity, build systems, and lead with purpose.
